The brief

Velune, a contemporary skincare brand, needed an identity blending cosmetic science, sensoriality and minimalist elegance. The positioning: an accessible premium brand, neither clinical nor ostentatiously luxurious.

The challenge: create a coherent visual system that works equally well on a 50 ml bottle and an Instagram feed, in a sector where every brand looks the same.

Nexia's approach

In-depth typographic research by our art director. The logo explores the balance between scientific rigour and sensory softness — geometric letters softened by subtle curves. Three typographic families tested before the final selection.

The palette is inspired by skin textures and natural ingredients: nude tones, rosy beige, off-white, with a discreet golden accent. Each colour is tested in real-world context — shop lighting, mobile screen, offset printing — to guarantee perceptual coherence.

The packaging is conceived as a precious object. Tactile materials, hot foil stamping, a studied opening mechanism. AI accelerated the visual direction exploration — 30 routes explored in 24 hours, filtered by our art director against the brand's criteria.

Complete identity delivered: logo, packaging, guidelines, digital variations. A coherent universe from bottle to Instagram feed, from e-commerce site to physical retail.

The visual system is self-sufficient — it works without explanation, without captions, without a brand tutorial. Velune now has an identity that elevates the product to the status of an object of desire, exactly halfway between science and sensoriality.

How this kind of project is run.

Every project led by Nexia Studio follows the same production method, adapted to the deliverable at hand. We start with a rigorous brief phase, generally structured by ZIA, our AI creative project lead who formalises expectations, constraints, budget and timeline. This step determines the success of the entire project.

Then comes exploration : this is where generative AI shows its real value. Our art directors use Midjourney, Flux, Seedance, Kling and Runway to produce dozens of visual tracks in a few hours, where a traditional process would be limited to three or four explored directions. The exploration volume helps eliminate false good ideas quickly and concentrate creative energy on directions worth pursuing.

The human art direction phase then takes over. Selection, refinement, arbitration, typography, composition : this is where taste makes the difference. AI explores, the art director decides. Without this human step, the result would be indistinguishable from any other AI agency.

Finally, production : development, animation, compositing, post-production, asset preparation. This is the longest, most technical phase. Depending on the project nature, it can mobilise the Web, Motion or Graphic discipline, sometimes all three. The most frequently mobilised services include art direction, AI production, brand film, visual identity, WebGL 3D and virtual humans.
