The brief

NODO, a streetwear brand, was looking for a visual identity that stands out in a saturated market. The goal: create a graphic universe recognisable in a second, able to carry the brand from packaging to Instagram feed without losing impact.

The brief called for a radical direction, far from the polished codes of mainstream streetwear. NODO wanted character, texture, an identity that breathes the street without falling into cliche.

Nexia's approach

Full art direction by our creative director. Exploration starts with 40 visual directions generated via AI in 48 hours — a volume impossible to achieve through a traditional process. Each route is evaluated on three criteria: singularity, scalability, coherence with the product.

The chosen direction: a dark, urban universe with organic textures — raw concrete, photographic grain, foundry-rough typography. The art director oversees every variation: packaging, labels, digital visuals, social media templates. Each format is conceived as a piece of the same system.

ZIA structured the initial brief and coordinated the back-and-forth between NODO and the studio to ensure a smooth process from the first mood board to final delivery.

The result

Complete visual identity delivered: logo, typographic system, palette, guidelines, packaging, digital variations. A system scalable across all formats — from a hoodie tag to an Instagram post — with immediate coherence between product and communication.

The brand now has a self-sufficient visual language that works without explanation. Streetwear meets exacting art direction — exactly what NODO was looking for.

How this kind of project is run.

Every project led by Nexia Studio follows the same production method, adapted to the deliverable at hand. We start with a rigorous brief phase, generally structured by ZIA, our AI creative project lead who formalises expectations, constraints, budget and timeline. This step determines the success of the entire project.

Then comes exploration : this is where generative AI shows its real value. Our art directors use Midjourney, Flux, Seedance, Kling and Runway to produce dozens of visual tracks in a few hours, where a traditional process would be limited to three or four explored directions. The exploration volume helps eliminate false good ideas quickly and concentrate creative energy on directions worth pursuing.

The human art direction phase then takes over. Selection, refinement, arbitration, typography, composition : this is where taste makes the difference. AI explores, the art director decides. Without this human step, the result would be indistinguishable from any other AI agency.

Finally, production : development, animation, compositing, post-production, asset preparation. This is the longest, most technical phase. Depending on the project nature, it can mobilise the Web, Motion or Graphic discipline, sometimes all three. The most frequently mobilised services include art direction, AI production, brand film, visual identity, WebGL 3D and virtual humans.
